Rare Bar & Grill Rooftop, Lexington

The one great thing about New York City is that if your main plans for the evening fails, you can easily create new ones on the spot because there are just so many people and places here!

I was supposed to go to Gansevoort last night, but it didn't end up working out. So a friend of mine from middle school (yes, middle school) and I caught up after many years at the rooftop at Rare Bar & Grill on Lexington.

Even though it was chilly, it was such a beautiful night to be out on a lit rooftop drinking and chatting away until they kicked us out, one hour later! (Don't worry it wasn't because we were misbehaving - they were simply closing)

This place was really lovely. I had a very nice time admiring the view of all the skyscrapers surrounding us - particularly the beautifully lit Chrysler building. There are only 2 things I have to complain about, haha.

1. I wish they were open longer. I thought this was NYC - things are supposed to be open a lot later than Boston!
2. No food on the rooftop! I was starving by the time I got there so I was naturally hoping for some munchies to munch on. Zip! Not even pretzels. YIKES!

Aside from these 2 minor complaints, I really did enjoy my time here and would love to come back when the weather decides to behave once again. Enough for now. Ciao NYC.

PS. I miss Boston and my Bostonians! :( Would totally be at Bijou tonight...
