On an aside...

After experiencing a nightmare at the Southie St Paddy's Day parade yesterday, I came home and took a LONNNNNGGGG nap. Naturally, when it came time to actually fall asleep, I couldn't. So, I decided to make a cartoon that portrayed me LOL. It was so much fun and way too cool. I stayed up til 2 making it and suffered the consequences at work today. While I think my cartoon is definitely a lot hotter than me, she certainly grasps the idea of Miss Flower ;) Anyway, here is the link... have so much fun!

29 Newbury

Yesterday afternoon, I went to 29 Newbury to catch up with an old friend. We were looking for a casual little spot where we could get coffee and perhaps dessert. 29 Newbury seemed ideal.

When we told the hostess we were there to to have coffee and dessert she replied by saying in order to sit down we had to at least order something significant or at least a drink. I found that quite odd but whatever I let it go - I needed a drink anyway.

I had a red wine sangria which turned out to be DELICIOUS there! Definitely a reason to come back in the summer time when the front patio is open. We also got caramelized bananas topped on vanilla bean ice cream and boy oh boy was it heaven in your mouth!

Delectable menu items, OK + pretentious atmosphere (just like almost every restaurant on Newbury St), rude hostess = nothing special about 29 Newbury. I'll probably swing by for sangria on a warm, summer Saturday.

Rumor, Boston

Last night, I went fist pumping with a bunch of my colleagues to Rumor on Warrenton St in the Theatre District. Initially we had plans to go to Sanctuary, aka Skanktuary, but opted for something slightly classier - Rumor.

Overall, the night was so much fun. However, as always, I have at least one thing to bitch about. WTF is up with a $25 cover?!? That is straight up ROBBERY! Rumor was wicked crowded last night and you couldn't really dance without feeling someone's sweat drip on you but the music was off the chain! The music was too good.

I know Rumor is one of the weekend hotspots for the foreign students who are regulars here but I really don't think I could do this every weekend. Great time and terrible hangover today! xoxo

PS: I bought one of those BCBG super tight bandage skirts last night to wear to Rumor and while it was super sexy and flattering for my huge ass, what a nightmare going to the restroom especially since I was wearing a leotard underneath. Oh Gosh, anyway advice to girls wear with CAUTION and expect not to be able to breathe half the night! I don't think any female's closet is complete without a black bandage skirt. Just sayin'

Where should I go?

Hello all you fellow Bostonians! Sorry I haven't blogged in a while - was in Jersey and we all know there's not much going on over there. Anyway, I'd like some suggestions on where to go this Saturday night. I want to go to a place where I can dance but not with a bunch of trash bags. Suggestions, suggestions?

Liberty Hotel, Charles River Park

This is an interesting blog post. Reason being: I have been to the Liberty Hotel a countless number of times, but I have NEVER blogged about my outings there. I guess it's never too late to start!

Anyway, last night my friends and I went to the Liberty Hotel. As usual drinks were fabulous, the place was infested with Middle Eastern millionaires, and we just had a gay ole' time. I don't really have much to say because it's always a fun evening at the Liberty. However, I did notice that it was short guy central at Liberty last night... I mean I know I am a petite woman myself but you can't hate on a woman for having a particular taste!

Other than that, I had fun! I suggest Liberty Hotel to all of you classy single people out in Boston looking to mingle! For those of you who have never been there, first of all, SHAME ON YOU! You are wasting your time at other wannabe lounges in Boston and second, the Liberty Hotel used to be a jail which makes partying there even more interesting LOL. Anyway xoxo and ciao til next time...
